Your data in Learn

What we store

• Your account: name, email address, a scrypt hash of your password (never the password itself), optional headline, experience level and time zone.
• Your learning: which lessons you started and finished, time spent, quiz answers and scores, the ladder programs you submit to challenges and their test results, which model answers you viewed, drafts, saved programs, XP, streaks and activity.
• Sign-in security: for each signed-in device, a hashed session token, the IP address and browser description at sign-in; and a record of sign-ups, sign-ins, failed attempts and password resets with the IP address, used to stop password guessing.
• Certificates: your name as it was when you claimed the certificate, the course title, the date and the certificate ID.

Cookies

One cookie, ap_learn_session, keeps you signed in for up to 30 days of inactivity. It is HTTP-only and holds a random token; we store only its hash. Learn sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage.

Who can see it

Your learning record is visible to you. AutoPeritus administrators can access it to run and improve the course; the admin dashboard shows it only in aggregate. It is not shared with other learners. A certificate is public by design: anyone with its ID can check it on the verification page, which shows your name, the course and the date.

Password-reset emails are sent through our email provider, Brevo, which receives your name and email address to deliver the message.

How long we keep it

• Your account and learning history: until you delete your account.
• Expired sessions: removed a day after they expire.
• Password-reset links: valid for one hour, records removed after 7 days.
• Sign-in and sign-up records (with IP addresses): 90 days.
• Programs attached to older challenge attempts: 180 days. The results are kept; your latest attempt and latest passing attempt on each challenge keep their program too.

Your copy, and deleting your account

On your profile page you can download everything above as a JSON file, and delete your account. Deleting it permanently removes your account, learning history, saved programs, certificates and sign-in records. Certificate verification links then stop working.
